Fanlight catch – Stainless steel
This fanlight catch with keep holds a bottom-hung window in its closed position. Its compact design suits flush timber windows and provides straightforward everyday opening and closing.
The catch is made from AISI 304 stainless steel. Mount the catch on the sash and the keep on the upper frame. The two components engage when the window is closed to retain the sash.
Installation requires at least 41 mm of sash timber width and 17 mm of frame timber depth. Check the available fixing surfaces before replacing an existing catch so that both components can be mounted correctly.
A bottom-hung fanlight is hinged along its lower edge and tilts inward at the top. If opening travel also needs limiting, use a suitable holder or roller stay. The catch closes the window; the separate limiter retains the sash when open.
